CHRISTMAS EVE EVE

My festive buzz has kind've gone. Not gone gone - just having a little rest I hope? I think it's been all the last minute frantic shopping. In short, I have melted my debit card and my will to live. On the up side, the burgeoning sales provided me with the perfect selfish opportunity to do a Carrie Bradshaw and buy myself a present. I'm wrapping it and everything.

Carvela, Surprise Ankle Boots; Were £150, Now £29, Kurt Geiger
At 80% off it would have been rude not to surely?

In other news, here's what I've been doing at Motilo recently:

I'll do one of those posts with all my presents after the day itself, after all everyone loves a smug bastard showing off what they've got. Cough, cough. In the meantime, I did me some Acne Atacoma nails. Lorra love.

It's all about a silver tip.

Chanel Blue Satin instead of black - just to mix it up yeh?

PULLING AT MY PURSE STRINGS

PULLING AT MY PURSE STRINGS

These babies make me swoon - however after purchasing I wouldn't have anything to put in them apart from a load of cut up credit cards. Father Christmas do you hear me?

A TRIP TO THE FLICKS

I've been a bit uninspired by the cinema of late, summer has that way of turning a six week period of dreadful remakes into a cash cow of crap, so it had been a while since I had sat in a suspiciously sticky velour chair for a couple of hours. Last week I saw Woody Allen's new one - "Whatever Works" - I know that is one of the most toecurlingly awful, middle class, bourgeoisie sentences to fall out my mouth, I might as well be wearing elbow patches, buying a £7 organic loaf from "Bread Etcetera" whilst claiming not to watch any TV (apart from Newsnight). That aside, it was good, really good in fact. Proper laugh out loud funny, I've been a bit dubious of Woody since "Match Point" - but I think with his return to comedy, and vitally New York, he's back in the comfort zone and it works.

Secondly, I went to see Twilight, see I'm not a snob. Despite all the (really) bad reviews, I thought it was aight. You know what to expect so I don't see why people would turn up looking for some mad Academy Award winning skills; it's all heavy breathing and betrothals - very mid-western daydream. I do think the whole Mormon abstinence thing is a bit shambolic though, according to True Blood vampires are, err... demonic should we say? No wonder they're getting married.

So, this is what I have seen, and this is what I want to see, how exciting - I love film trailers.

TACKY

These looks were for the most part, pretty flawless on paper, but somehow, on they looked like they could have appeared on an early season of Project Runway. We're talking a lot of Chanel Couture amongst other things so this is pretty controversial and I'm a little scared that Karl's going to come and stab me with a fine liner pen in my sleep tonight but I can't help it. Je n'aime pas. Oh and who else thinks Dylan Lauren looks like she's got lost on her way to the Sports Personalities of the year awards if you get my drift? A build that could make Paula Radcliffe look feeble, arms of steel innit.

Rosario Dawson, I don't know what to say. I honestly, just have no idea. Demi, in the oven for half an hour. Donatella, same goes for you. K-Stew, why didn't you go with something like Kane?? You look like that frightful overlay is in fact Jellyfish stingers and you are in excruciating pain. Take it off!

That is some truly Bad Wang. Oh no she didn't! Oh yes I did. It should work but it just feels wrong, and if even Giselle can't pull it off it must be really shit. Lily Collins looks cheap as a ring from a cracker whilst Katy Perry should just Grow. The. Fuck. Up.
